Task Force - Delivering Results for Our Communities

October is becoming another successful month for West Lancashire Urban Task Force, with a number of arrests, drug seizures, and disruptions to organised crime.

• A vehicle stop led to the arrest of a male. Further enquiries resulted in the arrest of a female, and a subsequent address search recovered a total of £15,000 worth of Class A drugs.
• A prolific burglar was arrested, leading to the recovery of stolen property.
• A suspected drug courier was arrested and found in possession of approximately £3,000 worth of Class A drugs.
• Two individuals were arrested for firearms offences following intelligence-led activity.
• A further arrest was made for possession of a bladed article and drugs offences.
• Task Force officers supported a CID investigation, resulting in the arrest of four suspects for robbery offences.
• Officers have identified and disrupted a drugs line, leading to the arrest of an individual for possession of a firearm.
• Officers also disrupted a known offender involved in drug driving offences, preventing further offending and reducing risk on the road network.

Throughout October, the Task Force balanced local proactive work with supporting wider Constabulary operations and demands during the first week of the month. Despite reduced capacity due to abstractions from core duties, the team continued to achieve positive results, arresting priority offenders, disrupting criminal activity, and removing drugs and weapons from the streets.

West Lancashire Urban Task Force continues to relentlessly target offenders both within Lancashire and across force boundaries, pursuing those involved in criminality and disrupting their activity wherever it occurs. Through ongoing enforcement, intelligence-led operations and partnership working, the team remains committed to protecting our communities, reducing harm, and making Lancashire a safer place to live, work and visit. The pursuit continues, and so do the results.
